ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I am a mature self-taught artist, with some basic training, mostly working to my own designs and in the way I choose to do them. I try to live from canvas to canvas, working towards making a full living from my paintings, one day hoping to become a full-time artist, working hard and loving every minute of it. There are hidden depths and spiritual beliefs in my paintings, giving them their own identity. My own beliefs towards my spiritual side of me come out in my paintings, with memories from deep seeded stories from the Bible taught me as a child into woman hood. The Visions in Water paintings shown below mean a lot to me, they are painted from me, deep from with inside of my way of life, as I choose to see/convey the meaning to others.I hope the viewer looks deeper into my paintings, and can see not just images on a canvas, but the meanings they convey. They are brightly coloured because I feel happy when I am painting them.My art works are on databases and they have been exhibited in solo/mixed exhibitions. I am a member of different art societies in Britain, and I exhibit my works with them. The Greetings Cards that I make are sold in galleries, gift shops and other art selling places.
