The Theme for the 2004 Festival was

THE INNER HEART

The 2004 Arte Gras Festival took place in June and July 2004 in Scotland, and beyond

Artesian Arts is holding a major exhibition of work by its Scottish-based members at the Talbot Rice Gallery, University of Edinburgh, from 12th June - 10th July 2004, in collaboration with Arts in Mental Health. We will be making this one of the major events of this years' ARTE GRAS FESTIVAL. There will also be a day of talks and workshops in Edinburgh on JUNE 11th.

Artesian invited contributors to:
- organise, co-ordinate, direct
- host an exhibition or event
- run workshops, practical and/or inspirational
- give a talk or seminar...possible themes: art and spirituality, art and health, art and nature etc.
- contribute artwork
- offer a performance, music or poetry
- organise an opening fancy dress ball!
- offer home-based exhibitions or environments
- sponsor events
- document the festival

Artesian was open to all artists and artist groups, north and south of all borders!

Exhibitions

2001 Earth Odyssey
This exhibition features over 30 of BritainÕs leading grassroots visionary artists,
celebrating their intuitive relationship with the earth, natureÕs spirits and sacred spaces.
The collection includes paintings, collage, photography and sculpture.

Black Tide
This exhibition marks the publication of ARTESIANÕS first artists' book of upwelling creativity,
a process reflecting the creative power that is within us all.
The ethos is Ôyou donÕt need to be an artist, you just need to be a human beingÕ.
This exhibition of ink drawings celebrates the remarkable and inspiring work of 10 human beings!!!!

Nurturing the metaphysical
An artist-run project that maintains an ever-evolving exhibition of kindred works from across Europe.
Exhibition at DOM 8 AdvocateÕs Close, opp. St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh EH1.
