ARTISTS STATEMENT

It is only recently that I have myself reconnected with creativity. This has been a steep and meaningful step which came out of my personal journey into self-knowledge and healing. So on the 1st January 1999, I started to paint again, and produced a series of five paintings entitled "Out of the Milk Jug". My first intent was not to rely on my previous Art Training, but to experiment with materials and be guided by this encounter. The result was the emergence of powerful inner images as form came out of substance. It was as if I was in touch with something greater than myself by allowing the greater elements of life to surface out of the collective unconscious. This has been a dynamic and profound meeting. Painting has become a sacred space where my buried soul moves across the threshold of consciousness and comes into Beingness. This is Spirituality.
